Chapter three



Amy was walking impatiently to the door. Someone was ringing the doorbell for minutes; non-stop and no one opened it. She walked fast, almost jogging.

‘Who could do all this noise?’

She arrived the door and unlocked it, revealing Team Sonic standing there. Tails was cuddling himself. Knuckles was holding Rouge’s gift. And Sonic... Sonic was staring at Amy.

Amy supported her body on the wall. She crossed her arms and smirked.

“I should know it was you. Just Sonic the Hedgehog rings a doorbell like a crazy. Come on in. I see that Tails is freezing outside.”

She opened the door wide to let the team in. Tails run inside, Knuckles entered peacefully, Sonic entered all excited.  He had waited to that night so long.

Knuckles and Sonic entered the living room and sat there, talking to the males of the Babylon Rogues. Even if they were enemies in the games, in real life they were good friends. Tails was helping Amy, Shadow and Silver to prepare all the food and to decorate the house. Everything had to be perfect before Rouge arrives. It was her and Knuckles’ party, but she didn’t know that.

Shadow left minutes later. He should go and get Rouge as he promised. Silver would go with him, but when he was at the door, Blaze came. He stopped, hugged her and both walked inside the house.

People were coming. A lot of people, all the guests must come. And they came.

“So Amy... How’s your life?” – The two tailed fox asked the pink hedgehog.

Amy smiled. “Well Tails... It’s good. Normal as always. Nothing weird happened.
What about yours?”

“M-mine? Huh...” – Tails removed a little gift from his pocket. Amy placed the plates on the table and watched.

Sonic was going to the kitchen, ask if Tails would like to watch TV with them. Before he opened the glass door, he watched everything. Sadly, he couldn’t hear.

Tails opened the packet. “I bought this to Cream, Amy... Do you think she’ll like it?”

Amy picked the small necklace. It was silver and had small colorful gems. She looked here and there, examining the jewel. Tails waited for an answer. Amy looked at him. She smiled and hugged Tails.

“She’ll adore it, Tails!”

“Thanks, Amy” – He hugged her back.

Sonic placed his hand on his chest. Now he knew why Tails bought that... He bought that to Amy. A tear ran down his cheek and he speed out of there.

Knuckles was going to the kitchen, ask why Sonic was taking so much time to do that. He almost fell when the blue hedgehog ran in the hallway. He got confused and searched for Tail. He arrived the kitchen and opened the door.

“Hey Tails. Do you know what’s wrong with Sonic?”

“With Sonic? No. Why?”

“He sped out of the house I don’t know where he went.”

“Don’t worry, Knuckles. I’ll search him.”

Tails was about to move, but Amy put her hand on his shoulder.

“You stay here. You need to give the gift to Cream. I’ll search him”

Amy walked out the kitchen and went to the living room. She told his brother what happened. In normal days, Silver would lock Amy inside the house, so she could not go after Sonic, but he was too busy staring at Blaze (lol), so he just nodded. Amy grabbed her coat and went outside. Sonic left a trail in the snow, so it would be easy to find him. She followed the trail. She’d find him, no matter what.
